About Rachel:

Born and raised on the Central Coast, Rachel grew up in an athletic household and was taught to practice body awareness and maintain a realistic approach to health very early on (getting your steps, drinking water, eating good food and not skipping dessert). She was a three-sport athlete who enjoyed indoor and beach volleyball more than anything, but she later found the calling to move her body for the joy rather than the sport. Rachel has previously lived in New York, London, Chicago, and Sydney, and has now set roots back at home. She is a certified yoga instructor of 7 years, and joined Sol as a member in 2023. Rachel knew she had found her favorite form of movement, and decided to pursue Sol's teacher training program in 2024. She loves everything it means to be well, and finds that Pilates offers the perfect balance of effort/ease, strength/femininity. She loves to take classic movements and develop fresh ways to implement them to stay inspired on the mat!

1. What is your go-to coffee order?

Decaf honey cinnamon cappuccino (with ever classic whole milk)

2. What are one/two daily habits that you think everyone should do?

Get outside once a day, and lots of things can be fixed with a walk!

3. What is your guilty pleasure?

McDonald's Diet Coke and getting in bed at 7pm (don't feel as guilty about the latter)
